Under general supervision, performs skilled duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical
systems, equipment, and miscellaneous fixtures. Work involves performing preventive maintenance
duties; performing daily and scheduled monthly inspections of wastewater lift stations, associated force
mains, vent valves, and piping; operating light to medium vehicles daily; assisting Mechanics with
required duties as necessary; and making entries and maintaining daily lift station activity logs as well as
correctly completing preventive and corrective maintenance documentation; collecting and recording flow
readings for billing purposes; inspecting, maintaining, and calibrating atmospheric test meters; and
performing generally routine or diversified duties as instructed by supervision requiring sound, productive
judgment.
Physical Requirements
Requires medium work that involves walking, standing, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, stretching
or lifting all of the time and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis,
or considerable skill, adeptness and speed in the use of fingers, hands or limbs in tasks involving very
close tolerances or limits of accuracy.
Skills/Qualifications (Required)
Requires a High School Diploma, or GED equivalent, supplemented by nine to twelve months of electrical
maintenance and repair experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Collection System Operator I - Transportation and Collection Department $13.40/hr Safety Sensitive Position
General Description & Summary of Duties
Under regular supervision, performs semi-skilled sewer line construction, maintenance, repairs, and correction duties. Work involves routine or repetitive duties following clearly prescribed standards and practices involving the application of ready understood rules and procedures.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate a vehicle, construction equipment, various tools, etc. Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; work involves sitting, standing and walking, operating machinery, working in confined spaces, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling and lifting/carrying weights of up to 150 pounds.
Skills/Qualifications (Required)
Requires a High School Diploma, or GED equivalent, supplemented by six months of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must obtain a Class "D" Wastewater Collection Systems Certification within one year of employment. Must have a valid South Carolina Vehicle operator license.
Electrician II - Plant Maintenance Department $17.63/hr Safety Sensitive Position
GENERAL DESCRIPTION and SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Under general supervision, performs skilled duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, relays, drives, drive appurtenances, wiring, conduit, and miscellaneous fixtures. Work involves providing support to the Electrician III technicians by assisting with machine troubleshooting, installation, and calibration; working with machinery such as PLC's, motors, starters, VFD's, submersible pumps, power tools, and various other electrically controlled equipment; assisting with the setup and installation of instrumentation devices such as differential pressure transmitters, thermocouples, level transmitters, flow meters, and motorized valves; handling electrical preventive maintenance tasks and providing assistance with corrective maintenance tasks as directed by the Supervisor and Electrician III technicians; performing tasks safety and proficiently; maintaining knowledge of various tools, conduit benders, power tools, meters, test equipment, and specialty tools of the trade; working safely around voltages up to 480 VAC constantly and up to 13,800 VAC occasionally.

Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's license. Knowledge of wastewater systems or similar equipment is preferred.
